The Club Championship and Awards Scheme were introduced in 2008 with the aims of;

race events and distances.
Rules of the Club ChampionshipsThe 2010 / 2011 Annual Club Championship will be run over a 12 month period
commencing on the 1st December 2010.

The race times that will be scored shall be those taken from the official
published race results (i.e. gun time). Chip timing will be used, where available.
Self-timed races will not be eligible.
Finish times will be converted into an age/gender graded performance percentage using
the web tool below:
The results will be announced by the end of December. The prizes available are:
Club Champion - Award the Cotton Shield
Top Placed Man and Lady
Runner-Up Man and Lady
Third Place Man and Lady
Certificate for the Most Prolific Runner (Man or Lady)
Certificate for the Most PB's of the Championship (Man and Lady)
In the event of a tie when calculating the final scores, the following criteria
will be used to determine the final positions:
i) Compare the average points for all races completed across an equal
number of races. The individual with the highest average percentage will win.
ii) If the position is still tied after applying test i), the individual with
the highest total number of completed eligible races will win.
In the event that there is any dispute, the arbiter shall be the Club Captain, whose
decision shall be final.
If an individual achieves a finish position in the Club Championship they will receive a certificate based on their level of achievement against the pre-determined set of criteria detailed below:

| Club Standard | The average of the total score achieved in the Club Championship for their best 5 races falls below 50%. |
| Bronze | The average of the total score achieved in the Club Championship for their best 5 races falls between 50% and 59.99%. |
| Silver | The average of the total score achieved in the Club Championship for their best 5 races falls between 60% and 69.99%. |
| Gold | The average of the total score achieved in the Club Championship for their best 5 races falls between 70% and 74.99%. |
| Platinum | The average of the total score achieved in the Club Championship for their best 5 races falls between 75% to 79.99%. |
| Diamond | The average of the total score achieved in the Club Championship for their best 5 races is at least 80%. |
